hoffalady > June 28 '09 day 349 snacker T spotted this guy while we were eating dinner. i knew he/she would fly away if i tried going outside... so, i got a bunch of hazing looking photos shot thru my dirty windows. i've never wishes i did windows more! my real photo op passed this morning w/o me even thinking of grabbing my camera! T and i were on our way to the grocery store when i spotted a box turtle in the middle of the road. i pulled over, switched on my hazards and hopped out to get him safely to the other side of the street. he was huge! shell about a foot long from head to tail and heavy too!! and the best part?? he peed on me! lmao! that'll teach me to save lives.... hope you had a great weekend!!
hoffalady > June 22 '09 day 343 onions nothing fancy here. these are my first crop of sweet yellow onions. they are only about the size of a golf ball but i'm pleased with them. it's the first time i've grown onions... tho i did cheat and use starter plants. don't tell my dad! he always uses starters and i usually always start from seeds. is it fall yet??
hoffalady > June 16 '09 day 337 yellow most of my sunflowers have opened. they make me smile everytime i see them. :0) nothing too exciting about today. the boys had Vernando over. so it was video game madness. V had his 11th surgery for his cleft lip & palette on Monday. he's a trooper that boy.
hoffalady > April 25 '09 day 285 violet the morning light in the new house is phenomenal. unfortunately my mornings are usually filled w/ getting everyone up and off to school & work. when i do steal a few minutes to catch those early morning rays, i'm usually outside. this morning i tried to pay attention to things inside fir a change. my African violets sit on the dinning room table and soak up that beautiful sunshine. this one has just started blooming again. i'm tickled w/ how well this shot turned out. we hung out at home today. one of my favorite ways to spend my saturday! hope you're enjoyed yours too!
hoffalady > March 12 '09 day 242 horsepower had a very long day full of last minute packing and trips to the new house. so we went out to dinner at Old Timers, a local lil eatery. you gotta love lumpy skin on mashed taters!

hoffalady > September 3 '08 day 52 bright i'm running to the store in the rain. i feel like i've been hit by a truck. my belly is not my friend at the moment. but thankfully the rain is helping me sleep while the boys are at school... now if only the phone would stop ringing... hope everyone enjoys their day. oh! and i got an email from Sony. my camera has officially arrived at the repair center! woohoo!! hopefully, i'll get it back into my empty hands soon!! btw, the pink flower from two days ago is a Vinca, related to the periwinkle. it was just about to open fully when i caught it's beautiful shape. :o)
hoffalady > August 29 '08 day 47 almost home. i've got a very busy day ahead of me. so i figured i'd get my photo up early.... before the sun early... this was taken the first week of school. it's Q's bus home. :o) loads of house cleaning, getting all cute-ified and driving to the airport to pick up my hubby!! woohoo!! hope all of you have a great friday!!
